What is a Park District?
The Park District is an independent unit of local government that provides public parks and recreational facilities to its city. Examples include summer camps, exercise programs, and early childhood programs.

Meetings & Public Comments
All meetings are held theThe 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7pm. The location of all board meetings will be the Foss Park District, 1730 Lewis Avenye North Chicago, Illinois 60064. Agendas can be found here.

Public comments are an opportunity for community members to express their concerns to elected officials in public statements. The public is entitled to this opportunity, with reasonable limitations from the board or council, under the Illinois Open Meetings Act. Public comments may be utilized to provide feedback or perspective to agencies to strengthen the decision-making process. Agendas for public meetings are released prior to the meeting and may be viewed by the public to prepare for public comments.
